It's really talking about the awkwardness that comes with being a teenager. How we're stuck in between two different worlds. We're not kids, but we're also not adults. It explains that point where you need hugs but can't go to your mom for it cos people will see you as a kid. That point where they tell to start taking responsibility for things yet when it comes to your life's decisions, they choose for you because "you're too young to understand decision making"
