@rosemaryadelani route of administration is chosen based on several factors. Some of which I mentioned in the reply earlier and also the patient's condition. Not all injections go through the vein. They just take different paths and speeds to reach the bloodstream.

@timileyinadeoye there's the one for bone and it's called Intraosseous route (IO). That's when a drug is injected directly into the bone marrow

Yes. Some go into the muscle via intramuscular route and some into the skin via subcutaneous route. Each one is selected based on how fast or slow the drug needs to work.
