This is relatable. I experience every bit of what you highlighted in your writing and this really affected me Growing upInasmuc as I don't support African parenting pattern however we can totally condemn African parents and their style of parenting because it also has it benefits.Thank you for the insight. It brought back the memories and reminder of what majority of us went through.

Indeed there are some benefits, but there's a lot more trauma than many of us even realize.

Many still find it hard to socialise at their grown age where networking is a critical asset, simply because how dare you "hang out with friends" when your lesson teacher is breathing down your neck until it's already curfew time.

Me, I'm not against discipline o...
