<p>This is so sad to read yet beautifully written. What is really painful is how the writer shows the effect of witnessing abuse even when the child was not the victim of it. The confusion around her fsthet show the aftermath of the abuse witness by the child which traumatizes her , although it made so much sense at the end. The discovery that she's been carrying someone else's pain for so long is also heart-wrenchin</p>
