<p>This one really made me pause. The black gown as a symbol of her mourning the woman she used to be was so powerful.</p><p>I also loved how you showed that a cage doesn’t always have bars; sometimes it looks like money, comfort, and a life everyone else considers perfect. “She looked like a bride, but felt like a mourner” really stuck with me. And that ending? That question says everything.</p><p>Beautifully written and honestly thought-provoking.</p>
