<p>This one honestly hurt. The little details made the letter feel so realthe burnt plantain, the shirt collar, the spicy jollof. Those ordinary memories somehow made the goodbye even more painful.</p><p>And “Keep me in your prayers, but don’t keep me in your pain”? That line really is grear</p><p>I also love that the writer didn't make the character's final thoughts only about dying, but about the person he loves continuing to live. That made the ending feel both heartbreaking and strangely comforting.</p>
