<p>This is short and fascinating. I love how you cut short the unnecessary description, increase the pace of the story and take us to the dramatic part.</p><p>You also use language to make us "see" the whole scene not telling.</p><p>Also the cliffhsnger is great, making one to look forward to what's gonna happen next.</p><p>I an curious now, who is the guy? The footsteps?
