<p>This really hit home. Sometimes we try so hard to impress people that we forget we’re supposed to be ourselves around them.</p><p>I also love the part about not being able to pay for a life you’re only pretending to live.</p><p>Pretending might get you attention, but it can’t build something genuine. I’d rather admit I’ve never been to the fancy restaurant than spend my whole life acting like I belong there. The right people won’t need the performance they’ll rather appreciate the real you.</p>
