<p>This one really hurt.</p><p>Seeing everything through a six-year-old’s eyes makes it even more heartbreaking because she doesn’t fully understand what happened, she only remembers the belt, her mother shielding her, the blood, and then the silence.</p><p>I also love that “I’m still waiting” at the end. Some childhood memories don’t leave; they stay with you as unanswered questions.</p><p>Beautifully written and it's deeply emotional. Keep it up</p>
