<p>This is a beautiful poem.</p><p>And it made me think about how much the people around us can influence who we become.</p><p>The sheep and goats comparison is a perfect example.</p><p>This also remind me of Yoruba proverb: sheep that mingles with dog will definitely eat dorms, meaning that our circle can shape us.</p><p>I also love the ending part where the speaker is grieving the person they used to be.</p><p>It's evident: In their wild ways, my gentle truth broke Now I grieve the change their shadows awoke....</p>
