<p>This piece feels like a mirror. The painful part is that forgetting ourselves did not happen overnight; it happened little by little, until we started seeing our own identity as something inferior.</p><p>A powerful reminder that progress should not mean losing the things that make us who we are.</p><p>There is a difference between learning from the world and abandoning yourself to become accepted by the world. This was beautifully written. Our stories, languages, and cultures deserve a seat at the table.</p>
