<p>At first, when I saw “The Cat in the Water,” I was honestly thinking about how cats are always scared of water. 😂 I used to have a cat, so that was the first thing that came to my mind.</p><p>But as I read further, I realized the cat was actually being used as a symbol for something much deeper.</p><p>The comparison between a cat gradually getting used to water and Nigerians gradually becoming desensitized to violence was really powerful.</p>
