<p>Some of the things you mentioned are just heartbreaking to read.</p><p>The fact that children go through these things and are sometimes expected to stay silent because the abuser is family or because people want to protect the family’s reputation is really disturbing.</p><p>Children deserve to feel safe, protected, and heard. They shouldn't have to grow up carrying the pain of what an adult did to them,</p><p>and I really hope more people see it and understand that abuse is abuse, no matter who the person is</p>
