The only way to consistently live AS not LIKE God's image is by living in alignment to what He says...this way, even when we make mistakes, we will have that consciousness that we are not far from Him.

...and set our minds to live as God's image, the transmission becomes clear....He never left... We only became blind to see Him due to sin(mistakes) .

These are just the basics...now let me answer the question 🤭

...so as His creation we FEEL we have let Him down when we make mistakes especially the costly ones thus we FEEL far from Him. Same thing happens when in most cases, the hurdles of life hits us at a weakpoint and we know this is not the same with God so again we tend to count ourselves unworthy to be close to Him.

However, the reality is this: GOD was never actually far from us....but when we sin(mistakes) it's like a break in transmission....but immediately we acknowledge our sins...

Hmmm...this is a very deep question..

Okay let's start this way...

1. Mistakes, in most cases precedes failure. As humans, we have a very high probability of making mistakes but we are not programmed to fail unless we subject ourselves to failure.

2. In the question, you said mistakes "...makes us feel so far from Him..." And that is exactly what it is. It makes us FEEL far from Him when in actual sense we are not. The reason we feel this way is this; we know God cannot make mistakes...
