<p>I don't think she can even pick.</p><p>How do you tell one person you love to die so the other can live? It’s impossible if she picks her son, she loses her husband. If she picks her husband she loses her child. Either way her life is finished.</p><p>The only thing she can do is put herself in the middle It’s almost a selfish choice because she just can't handle the pain of being the one who stays behind.</p>

If she dies

Both the husband and child would be traumatised.

Also we don't know if they'll kill them after she's gone
