Content should be filtered ofcourse. It's the intent of Movie Ratings and Age definitions. But enforcement is the issue.

Me I sha know I'd regulate what my kids watch till their values are firmly formed.

The society won't train my children for me

Hmmm

I think it’s heavily both broadcasting and exposing. So, should reality TV show life as it is, warts and all because it is what sells or should it be responsible for filtering out what could influence negatively?

So if people kiss other people's wives secretly, how does that corrupt me?

But if I see it on BBN that a married person is comfortably having an affair with an house mate...it starts to form an impression or idea in mind and I could follow suit if my mind is not renewed.

So I'd rather call it Broadcasting, rather than Exposing. And these people know these things, but it's what sells, so....

This is a really strong point. The influence of what we permit in entertainment often trickles down into society especially among younger people who are still forming their values. Like you said, what one generation tolerates, the next may normalize even further but at the same time, some argue that these issues existed long before reality TV & that the show is more of a mirror than the cause. So I wonder, is BBN fueling the problem or is it just exposing what’s already happening in our society?
