I don't quite agree with some of your distinctions, Samuel. Or Let me ask you, which is the higher form in a relationship, a Lover or a Partner?

That's amazing, I'm surprised you have a different opinion Tobi. Perhaps my wordplay got you confused a bit.

As for me, A Lover is the higher & better form to be (get) in a Relationship. How do I mean?

PARTNERS according to the idea behind my article are ENTITLED BEINGS who only seek their own benefits and neglect the well-being of their counterpart.

To them Relationship is more about ME/I and less of US/WE and this surely makes the relationship lopsided & its main value of COMMUNION lost.

I think Samuel's definition of a "lover" and "partner" is from this current generation's way of understanding different levels of commitment in relationships with the opposite sex.

From his writing, if I'm not wrong, I think the "lover" is less committed when compared to the "partner".
