<p>I used to think it's an African thing for men to feel that not showing their emotions is being manly.</p><p>At this point, I know it is a problem if the society at large.</p><p><a class="tc-blue" href="/public_profile-esther-omemu-2241/">@estheromemu</a>, when do you think men started to see themselves this way? At what point did this mentality begin?</p>

There are a lot of layers to this. I think generally people have subconsciously determined that those traits mean weakness. There is also the fact that being emotional is attached to ‘women’. It is hard to really identify the true source honestly.
