Yup. It happens.
I recently had a case of a lady who argued that her genotype result was not S. She felt we were wrong because all her life she always thought she was AA. We sent her for advanced tests and it turns she was in fact predominantly S.
Interestingly, she was already set to marry someone whose genotype was AS.
Some laboratories are simply yet to accept that a method like Cellulose acetate is not accurate.
What??? wrong lab results for something this critical??
