<p>I feel it's irrelevant. Whether the culture is practiced or not, hard times will come and the fate of the relationship will only stand on what has been learnt from past experiences or the experiences of others. It will stand on the level of commitment both parties have towards each other.</p><p>I can only be convinced to think otherwise if there is a statistical data showing that 90% of marriages that followed the ritual were long-lasting for at least 30 years.</p>
