This is an interesting post, however I believe there is an angle you didn't look into.. The possibility that the fact that this is majorly displayed by a specific group of people may be a testament to the fact that perhaps the other group has something this group is trying to avoid. In clearer terms, while it's true that it's more mature to have conversations and communicate understanding, it's also possible that men are not interested in the lack of accountability that many women display.
