Hi Belinda, do you think that this applies to everyone who ends up well in their acting career?

For example, Johnny Depp has said that he has never watched any movie he acted in, plus he also never went to school making it unlikely that he learnt all this before entering the acting industry since he has been acting since His Teen years.

I don't want to sound like I am discrediting the accuracy of this very detailed insight, I just want to know if you have met others like Johnny.

And lastly; while I never insinuated or even mentioned that film school is the only path to success in the filmmaking industry, I did attend film school, but ironically it was to study directing not acting. All my acting knowledge came from experience and what I’ve learned online. I however do believe gaining knowledge through formal education or other means can be highly beneficial, so I’ll always encourage knowledge seeking. You can’t even change things if you don’t know what’s already there.

Secondly, everyone’s journey in the industry is not the same and Johnny Depp didn’t plan to become an actor, fate led him to it. He literally ventured into acting to pay his rent and not because he wanted to be the next James Bond.

In stark contrast to Johnny Depp’s motivation to act, many people choose to become actors because they're driven by a deep passion and conviction that acting is their calling.

My article is written specifically with these individuals in mind.

Hi Wilson,

First of all, thank you so much for reading. I sincerely appreciate your interaction and would love for you to read as many of my articles. The engagement is truly welcome.

I am however a tad puzzled by your film school reference. My write-up clearly indicated that my insights came from personal experience, as well as what is presently obtainable in an industry I’ve existed in for over ten years and not solely because I attended film school.
