I have very little respect for journalists because they are most times biased and on a race to be the first to release an article on a hot subject at the expense of it's accuracy.

Are there laws that can be applied in prosecuting journalists who are guilty of this?

In reporting stories, I think being biased does not help the society know the whole truth. It makes people seem the truth only from one angle.

However, the race to be the first to put out a story is no different from what some others do in their own respective professions. It's just a natural competition that comes with the job.

Though, your end-point here is that it shouldn't be at the expense of the accuracy of a story.

Agreed.

Just thought to drop this for the sake of clarity.
