<p>Maybe we don't really lose ourselves in one defining moment. Maybe it happens quietly, in all the little compromises we make to be accepted, loved, understood, or enough for someone else. And perhaps finding yourself isn't about returning to who you were, but finally becoming someone you no longer have to abandon for anyone.</p>
