Whole Before Love I am not an unfinished story,not a puzzle missing pieces.I am the ink, the paper, the poet a full chapter even before you came. I was already light,already fire,already enough.But when you walked in,you did not complete me, you reflected me.And in your eyes,I saw my own brilliance magnified. Love is not rescue,it is recognition.It is the gentle truth of two soulschoosing to walk together,not because they are broken,but because they are wholeand still long to intertwine. Do not mistake my heart for weakness;I carry storms behind my ribs.To love me is not to fix meit is to stand beside mewhile I bloom in my own season. I will never beg for love,for I am love itself.My worth does not rest in your hands,it rests in the stars that birthed me.But if you are wise enough to hold me,know thisI will not dim myself to fit small places.I will shine,and I will expect youto shine beside me. So here is my vow:with or without you,I am golden.But with you,my gold becomes fire,my light becomes flame,and together we arethe kind of lovethat poems envy.
