A quiet christmas night

Soft snow drifts down like whispered dreams,

Upon the roofs and silent streams.

Lanterns glow on winding streets,

Where winter’s hush and wonder meet.

The moon keeps watch in silver light,

Guarding this holy, gentle night.

Through frosted glass, the firelight gleams,

A dance of gold, a trail of beams.

Shadows stretch along the wall

As echoes of old carols call.

Each note recalls a year gone by,

Of hopes once lost and prayers once sighed.

The scent of pine and cinnamon

Drifts through halls where hearts are one.

Tables worn by time and care

Hold laughter, stories, love laid bare.

Hands reach out, no need to speak,

For peace is found in moments meek.

Outside, the bells begin to ring,

Their voices lift on winter’s wing.

They call the weary, call the wise,

To lift their gaze, to look and rise.

To remember kindness, freely given,

And faith that bridges earth and heaven.

Children dream by candle’s glow,

Of falling stars and drifting snow.

Of gifts wrapped tight with hope inside,

Of morning joy they cannot hide.

Yet greater still than gold or art

Is warmth that fills a waiting heart.

The night moves slow, as if it knows

This fragile calm the season holds.

That sorrow, too, sits near the door,

Remembered faces, years before.

But even grief must softly bend

Where love insists it does not end.

For Christmas speaks in quiet ways,

Not just of joy, but gentler grace.

Of light that finds the darkest place,

Of mercy time cannot erase.

A promise kept, a newborn cry,

That tells us none are passed by.

So let the snow keep falling light,

Let stars remain this sacred night.

Within the cold, a truth shines bright:

We are not lost, we are not alone—

For love was born, and hope made known,

On this still, eternal Christmas night.
