Are cartoons the new therapy? How a fictional canine family cracked my emotional armour.
I still watch cartoons. Not the ones for adults like me, but the ones I should've watched almost two decades ago.

Cartoons feel like comfort, like ice-cream on a sunny day. Like an A+ on a test you studied a little too hard for. Like a “good job” from your African parents.

Cartoons feel like peace.

Bluey is my all-time favourite cartoon, sitting right next to SpongeBob.

The thoughtfully crafted storyline, lessons, and interactions among the characters are extraordinary.

From Bluey I learnt that while it takes a lot to raise a happy family, it doesn't take too much.

The Heelers(Bluey’s family) taught me to find joy in the simplest of things. To anticipate happiness; to be hopeful.

Years back, if you'd told me that my emotional armour would crack, and the walls depression built for me would be demolished by a 6-year old cartoon dog and her family, let's just say I'd have called you something that rhymes with brazy.

Bluey not only captures innocence and peace, it also captures fun and joy. Those alone feel like therapy.

Which movie is your all time favourite? Do you watch cartoons? Have you seen Bluey? Who's your favourite cartoon character?
