Before the Vows

They speak of love with burning eyes,

Of whispered dreams and moonlit skies.

Two hearts that race, two hands that stray,

Temptation strong, just one kiss away.

A moment's fire, a fleeting thrill,

But deeper lies the test of will.

For love, though sweet, can lose its way

When passion leads the soul astray.

They say, “It’s love, so what’s the cost?”

But sacred lines are often lost.

What starts as joy can turn to ache,

When trust is bruised, and spirits break.

No ring, no vow, no binding tie—

Just questions asked with silent cry.

Was it too soon? Was it too fast?

Will what we built have strength to last?

Yet not all hearts are stained or torn,

Some rise anew, some are reborn.

But wisdom lies in love with care,

In waiting till the hearts prepare.

Not shame, not scorn—just truth to tell,

That choices shape the soul as well.

So let the fire burn slow and bright,

Till love walks boldly into light.
