BEFORE YOU QUIT, READ THIS👇
<p>Tola stormed out of the lecture hall, before her friends and course mates could call her name.</p><p>She’d failed again.</p><p><br/></p><p>Same course, same lecturer, same pain...</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>She kicked a stone on the pavement, angry tears blurring her eyes.</p><p><br/></p><p>“What’s the point?” she muttered. </p><p><br/></p><p>“I’m just wasting my time here."</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>Her phone buzzed, one of her friends just now, posted her results and the congratulatory comments kept popping in.</p><p><br/></p><p>Someone else, showed off their new laptop...</p><p><br/></p><p>Tola locked her screen, her chest tightened the sounds from her phone's notification was freaking her out...</p><p><br/></p><p>It felt like everyone was moving, except her.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>That night, "I'd have to go far away" she told herself as she started packing... </p><p><br/></p><p>One hand folded her clothes, the other wiped her tears. </p><p><br/></p><p>She was ready to leave, to quit school for good.</p><p><br/></p><p>“I’m done,” she whispered. </p><p><br/></p><p>“I can’t keep doing this.” She spat angrily at no one, but herself...</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>Every effort, every night of studying till dawn, still ended in red ink. </p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>Her parents’ disappointment echoed in her mind, and her dreams suddenly felt far away.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>However, as she zipped the bag, something fell... a small paper, folded and worn. </p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>She opened it, it was her handwriting from her first semester:</p><p>“One day, this struggle will make sense. Keep going.”</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>She stared at it, then she sank onto her bed, silent. For the first time that day, she breathed deeply.</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe quitting wouldn’t fix the pain, it would only freeze her dreams where they stopped.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>So she unpacked.
