Dear human, Episode 5: Counting my blessings

‎"Comparison is the thief of joy"

‎Whoever said this wasn't lying.

‎It's really sad how quick we are to compare our present situation to someone else's. The kind of luxury life they live, the cars they drive, the amount of money they make. We want it too and we want to live like them.

‎But what's even worse is how far we can go just to get these things. How we become envious, ungrateful and even lose sight of what we already have right in front of us–

a healthy life, a loving family, adequate provision from God, God's love and protection,

‎I could go on and on.

‎Dear human, it's a good thing to want more,

‎It's a good thing to want to achieve great feats and dream to live comfortably. But when we envy those who already have these things and strive to get them through any means, we lose our joy and gratitude in the process, and that's where we get it wrong.

‎Whenever we stop to count our blessings, we realize that we have much more to be grateful for than we think. Be grateful for the things you have now and trust God for the things you don't have.

‎Gratitude over comparison

‎that's how we should live💕

‎
