DEAR NIGERIAS, EVERYTHING IS NOT CURISE

When someone says they are tired of life, that is not a joke setup. That is a cry for help. Nigerians, everything is not content and everything is not cruise.

A young man spoke up and said he was tired of living. He put his heart out there, and the comments were unbelievable. "Borrow me money before you go." "Help me greet my grandmother." "Drop your power bank first." We laughed at a man standing on the edge, then when people like him die, we have the nerve to ask, “Why didn’t they speak up?”

They did. You just didn’t listen.

We need to stop the "No be only you dey suffer" talk. Pain is not a competition. Pain is relative, and people’s levels of endurance and emotional capacity are different. What looks like a small jump to you is an unbearable mountain to someone else. Not everyone carries suffering the same way, and your ability to survive a storm doesn't mean the next person isn't drowning in it.

If someone opens up, be human first. Send a message. Ask if they are okay. Show a small kindness instead of chasing likes with a viral comment. One serious response can keep someone alive longer than you think.

And to anyone reading this who is struggling, you are not alone. Your life is bigger than this moment and this pain. Someone cares, even if it doesn't feel like it right now. Please stay. Empathy costs nothing, but silence and mockery can cost a life.

Stop the cruise. Be human first.
