I’ve been a writer for a long time.

Long before Two Cent.

But somewhere along the way, that part of me began to go quiet.

Rejections piled up. People questioned my work. Some trashed it outright and after a while, I started questioning myself too.

Even though my friends kept saying, “You write well. You feel what you write.” I wasn’t myself anymore. I honestly began to feel like maybe I didn’t know what I was doing after all.

Then October 2025 happened.

I was scrolling, randomly, through a friend’s post. No plan. No expectations. I saw something about Two Cent. Writers, students, people i can't remember what the post entailed clearly but I thought, why not? Let me just join.

That small decision turned out to be one of the best things that happened to me in 2025.

Two Cent felt like a reawakening. Like something that had gone to sleep inside me finally stirred again.

Being there reminded me that I wasn’t foolish for trying. That I wasn’t alone. That maybe I still had something to offer.

I’m deeply grateful to @Cyrus Majebi and @Tobi Igbinedion. The two men behind this big, generous space.

Building community is not easy. Showing up consistently is not easy. Doing it while juggling other responsibilities is even harder. But somehow, they do it. And they do it with heart.

At the end-of-year games, I watched Cyrus move freely, warmly, like a normal human being who genuinely cares. It mattered to me and even though Toby was busy, I felt his presence in what has been built here. The intention is loud.

I also thank God for @Dolapo Oludairo. Meeting her was a blessing I don’t take lightly. She helped me find my way into Two Cent, supported me, and even when she was busy she still showed up to put me through. That kind of kindness stays with you.

Through Two Cent, I sat with myself again and asked, “What can I actually do?” It pushed me back into reflection, growth, and courage. It reminded me that people can keep going. That people don’t have to give up. That I don’t have to either.

The end-of-year games, the conversations, the laughter, just being in a room with people who are still trying, still pushing. It made me genuinely happy.

So thank you. Truly.

Thank you to Cyrus and Toby. God bless you. God increase you. I pray 2026 is your best year yet. Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year in advance.

And thank you to everyone who has read, commented on, and engaged with my insights. Every single one of you. It means more than you know.

I’m grateful to be here.

and insightfulness of their content.
Top Engagers
For the Top Engagers Track, we award the top 3 people who engage the most with other user's content via
comments.
The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Engagers" tab on the rankings page.
Most Engaged Content
The Most Engaged Content recognizes users whose content received the most engagement during the month.
We pick the top 3.
The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Contributors" tab on the rankings page.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.

Monthly Score
The Top Monthly Contributors ranking is a monthly metric indicating how users respond to your posts, not just how many you publish.
We look at three main things:
1
How strong your best post is —
Your highest-scoring post this month carries the most weight. One great post can take you far.
2
How consistent the engagement you receive is —
We also look at the average score of all your posts. If your work keeps getting good reactions, you get a boost.
3
How consistent the engagement you receive is —
Posting more helps — but only a little.
Extra posts give a small bonus that grows slowly, so quality always matters more than quantity.
In simple terms:
A great post beats many ignored posts
Consistently engaging posts beat one lucky hit
Spamming low-engagement posts won't help
Tips, comments, and upvotes from others matter most
This ranking is designed to reward
Thoughtful, high-quality posts
Real engagement from the community
Consistency over time — without punishing you for posting again
The Top Monthly Contributors leaderboard reflects what truly resonates, not just who posts the most.
