This practice, has psychologically provided comfort and resilience in Nigeria's fraught with challenges, also serving as a veil for systemic failures and personal accountability, serving as source of solace and excuses for inaction.</p><p>Nigeria as one of the most religious country in Africa identifies over 90% of the population as religious, splitting roughly between Christianity and Islam—the attribution of negative events to divine-will is woven into day-to-day language, and responses to different phases.</p><p> Common phrases like "It is God's will" ,"Haka Allah Yana" ,"Na God hand e dey" or "On God" are statements uttered in the face of calamity or catastrophe. For instance, In Nigeria bandits or terrorists raids a village and kill everybody and burn them alive and the survivors will be saying "haka Allah Yana", Why would God want that!? Some might say, "God gives and God takes,".
