<p>Eat the Frog !</p><p>My spirit sings </p><p>Eat the Frog!</p><p>My soul echoes </p><p>Are you sure you can? </p><p>My body whispers.</p><p><br/></p><p>Down with tears </p><p>On the side of my bed</p><p>In a mini apartment </p><p>There I was,</p><p>Lost in thoughts</p><p>Short of words.</p><p><br/></p><p>Don't know what to do </p><p>The weight on my chest,</p><p>Too heavy to bear,</p><p>My flesh seeks pleasure </p><p>Strongly fighting for what it desires.</p><p>My mind says "it's time to pray 🙏</p><p>Then you find strength to </p><p>Eat the Frog </p><p><br/></p><p>How can I pray ? </p><p>How can I sleep ?</p><p>How can I have fun? </p><p>When my soul is restless .</p><p><br/></p><p>I couldn't help myself </p><p>My life,full of mysteries</p><p>Yet to be unfold.</p><p><br/></p><p>Countless times I sighed ,</p><p>But wasn't relieved </p><p>Countless times I cried,</p><p>Seeking comfort ,bit wasn't comforted </p><p><br/></p><p>My heart was broken </p><p>My soul shattered </p><p>I sort solace in the innermost part of me</p><p>But everywhere was noisy .</p><p><br/></p><p>I couldn't help but cry aloud</p><p>This time much louder </p><p>And then a sound came </p><p>A sound from the heavenly realms</p><p><br/></p><p>One sang with indepth </p><p>Gratitude to my maker </p><p>Ogo ogo ogo ogo!!!!!!!!!!!</p><p>Halle...Halle..luu..yah!!!</p><p>Ogo ogo ogo ogo !!!!!</p><p>Halle .....Halle ..luu...yah!!!</p><p><br/></p><p>In the midst of silence </p><p>In the moment of pain </p><p>I found purpose </p><p>One triggered from the secret place.</p><p><br/></p><p>I heard a voice again</p><p>One of hope,</p><p>Peace and love </p><p><br/></p><p>My soul is lifted </p><p>My spirit strengthened </p><p>My flesh conformed to the </p><p>Leading of the spirit.</p><p><br/></p><p>And in one voice </p><p>They all echoed "EAT THE FROG"</p><p><br/></p><p>POEM WRITTEN BY ONYEOGU EMMANUEL CHIDUBEM </p>
