Every Midnight, the Food in My Pot Disappears… Until I Did This

Episode 1

The first night I woke up and found the food in my pot disappeared I thought nothing of it. Maybe I had eaten more than I remembered.

But then… it happened again.

I would come home late, cook, eat a little, and keep the rest for the next day. But every morning… the pot was empty.

At first, I thought maybe stress was affecting me.

Then one night, I cooked but refused to eat.

At midnight, I woke suddenly. Something pulled me to the kitchen.

When I opened the pot… part of the food was gone.

My hands shook. The windows were sealed. The doors locked. I searched the house, no sign of anyone.

The next day, I told my friends. They laughed.

“You eat too much, you probably finished it yourself,” one said.

“Maybe it’s rats,” another joked.

But how could rats remove the cover from the pot… and place it back… without leaving a single scratch?

That night, I decided to test it.

I cooked again, I ensure every door and window were closed, then I waited.

At midnight, I heard it, faint footsteps. Slow. Careful. Moving in the kitchen.

My chest tightened. I froze. Too scared to move. In panic, I called two neighbors. We went in together… but there was no one in the kitchen.

They looked at me like I was insane. One hissed and said, "you're not serious."

Yet when I checked the pot, half the food was gone.

But nobody seems to believe me.

The next night, I tried something else, to be sure if my head wasn't messing me up. So I cooked, then poured flour across the kitchen floor.

I woke in the morning, I was shocked..I saw footprints. Small. Like those of a child.

I rushed out quickly, shouting, I called my neighbours, I showed them. This time, they were silent. Nobody could explain it. Some gave advice, but I really wanted to know what it is.

That night, I decided, enough was enough. I cooked again, then hid inside the cupboard, to see for myself. I was peeking through a crack.

Just at midnight… the kitchen light went off.

My heartbeat quickened, it's very unusual for light to go off.

Then I heard it, soft footsteps… slow, careful… coming straight toward where I hid.

To be continue.......
