Today,we have men who force themselves on goats,on dogs,on horses.A British man rèped over forty dogs.Another man in Indonesia was caught with a cow,laughing.Somewhere in India,a group of men ràped and unalived a monitor lizard.And you want me to believe the devil is defeated? Bèastiality. Pedophilia. Necrophilia.Names of demons we’ve normalized.There’s video evidence of a man violating a snake.They share it in group chats like memes.Lady and dog.Woman and horse.You flinch, but someone filmed it.Someone watched it.Someone climaxed to it. A doctor, ràped and murdered in India.A Japanese girl, gang-raped and live-streamed.A ten-year-old girl in Brazil forced to birth her rapist’s child.An eleven-year-old in Ohio denied an abortion.Where is mercy? Where is divine outrage? If God is watching,He must be closing His eyes. Wars wage in His name.From the Crusades to Boko Haram, and other kind of JîjadsFrom Gaza’s rubble to Sudan’s silence.Children become smoke before they become memories.Hospitals bombed. Aid workers shot.Mothers clinging to the limbs of childrenthat used to be whole. But God is love, they say.God is watching. Remind me again, who is winning?If the Messiah has already come,why does the devil still eat well?Why are victims silenced and predators praised?Why are pastors building empireswhile worshippers sleep hungry? I want to believe.I truly do.The stories give hope.They promise peace,, if you behave, if you endure, if you forgive.But what of the ones who can’t even breathe?What of the ones whose last prayer was through a gag?What of the ones who never got to say “Amen”?Those how have lost their voice and sanity to the iron hands of the oppressors? There are billions of prayers floating in the wind.Prayers from little boys who don’t want to be touched again.Prayers from wives who want bruises to stop forming.Prayers from good men who’ve lost their way in a crooked world.Prayer of a boy who can't take it no more. God, are You watching?Or have You grown deaffrom the sound of Your own silence? Because we are bleeding.And You,You're still silent.
