One thing that makes our walk with God genuinely beautiful is this simple truth: God never stops talking.

The real issue has never been if God speaks — it’s how He speaks… and whether we’re tuned in.

Somewhere along the line, religion made God sound like a stubborn lecturer who only speaks on mountains, after 40-day fasts, midnight vigils, or with “special anointing oil” on standby. If there was no thunder, no goosebumps, and no strange dream, we conclude, *“God didn’t speak.”*

But Scripture paints a very different picture — God is creative.

He spoke to Moses through fire (not a conference).

He corrected Balaam through a donkey (imagine being advised by your own pet).

He warned Belshazzar through handwriting on the wall (no worship team, no altar call… just God and His pen).

And honestly, God is still this creative.

Let me tell you about Tunde.

Tunde prayed all night for direction about a business deal. No dream. No vision. No angel.

The next morning, he entered a bus and the conductor shouted, “Oga, no go this route! Na dead end!”

Everyone laughed. Tunde didn’t.

Two hours later, the exact deal collapsed because it was… a dead end.

God spoke. Tunde almost paid transport to miss it.

Clearly, God is not limited.

God speaks through everything He created. Yes — everything.

A friend of mine, Olayinka, kept asking God whether she should relocate. One afternoon, she randomly opened a novel and the first line she saw was: “Staying was slowly killing him.”

She closed the book. Opened it again. Same page. Same line.

She said, “Okay Lord, I’ve heard. Don’t shout.”

Two months later, she moved. Six months later, her life moved with her.

You’re reading a random post and a line arrests your heart — God may be talking.

You wake up late and miss an appointment — God may be teaching.

Like Kaycee, who missed a flight, insulted the alarm, rebuked the bed, and nearly rebuked God.

Out of anger, he bought a meat pie and sat down.

Two hours later, the same flight made an emergency landing due to engine trouble.

Kaycee looked at the meat pie and said, “So this was my destiny helper.”

Your tyre goes flat on the road you stubbornly chose — God might be saying, “I warned you, my friend.”

Nature speaks.
Events speak.
People speak (yes, even the annoying ones).

Many years ago, there was a neighbour of mine, Mama Kemi, who wouldn’t forgive her sister. One day, her four-year-old daughter refused to talk to her the whole morning.

She begged. She bribed. She threatened. Nothing.

Finally she asked, “Why are you not talking to mummy?”

The girl replied, “Because I’m angry. That’s how you do aunty.”

Mama Kemi didn’t shout again. She went to make peace.

Delays speak.
Illness speaks.
Silence speaks.

And like myself, who complained that God was silent about my next move. In that “silent” season, i was forced to rest, reflect, detox, and finally confront habits i had been hiding behind noise. Later i said, “God wasn’t silent. He just switched from speaking to operating.”

God speaks in diverse ways because He is a relational God, not a religious formula. He doesn’t need you to relocate to a mountain before He can locate you. He speaks where you are, not only where you wish you were.

Don’t approach God like an old idol stationed in one forgotten shrine. Relationship with God is not complicated — we just enjoy complicating it. Whether you ask or not, He keeps speaking.

So live with this consciousness:

👉 Everything around me can be God’s voice.

The real question is not, “Is God speaking?”

The real question is — are you paying attention?

Reflection:

In what ways has God been speaking to me lately that I may have ignored or explained away?

TwoCents Takeaway:

God is always speaking — in His Word, in your world, and in your walk. Slow down, stay sensitive, and don’t miss divine conversations hidden in ordinary moments.

-----

Has God spoken to you in creative ways before? 1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
