Who else thought that attending the university automatically changes your mindset and accent?

Before entering into the university I always used to think that it is mandatory and undeniable for anyone who attended the university and came out a graduate to eventually start speaking grammar and expressing themselves beyond the ordinary.

Then it occurs to me that the 99 percent change required in the life of a student is done consciously by that individually .

Coming into the university changed by mindset and reshaped my reasoning as a writer and as a graphic designer.

However one of the challenges I faced while trying to improve myself beyond my surroundings were the issues of light:

We don't have a well in our compound so whenever there is no light to pump water ,we end up going from street to Street to get water to cook and to do some other domestic chores.

However, the compound we go to fetch water most often than never, usually locks their well in other to save water for others in the compound.

One of the days I was meant to have an afternoon exam I had read through out the mornings and eventually went to get water to bath when I discovered that they had locked the well as usual. So I went to next neighborhood,to get water then it dawned on me that the fetcher we use in drawing the water were already touching the underneath part of the well thereby, getting sand along.I had no other option than to fetch it.Each drop I drew came with a sigh because it actually takes a person of faith to draw.Insect were literally dancing a dance of hope around the water,my heart were broken I would never have thought that I will be in a situation where I have no option.

I continued in that process until I was done fetching.

I took all the way to st Christopher's lodge,a three storey building apartment divided into rooms wherein,we were part of the people inhabiting the first floor.

Every step I climbed with the water on my hands were filled with unseen pain and agony, mixed up with hope.

I got to my lodge. My roommate had gone without bathing to take his exams and there was no pure water in the house to brush.

Knock! Knock ! Knock! I knocked at my neighbor's door in other to get water to brush but he wasn't around.

One could see the frustration written all over my face.I went inside my room wanted to cry 😭 but tears was far from my eyelid.

I held my nose with my left hand and used the water I got to brush with my right.

Then I took my bath and went for the exam.

It was a CBT exam .I stood at the line to be checkmated in other to pass through the first stage which I was.

Then on the second line where I was supposed to give in my details to the staff in charge to confirm if I was eligible to write the exam by registration.I prayed silently within me santifying the atmosphere.

Then the lecturer in charge told me that I didn't registered the course.

Hmm..what a surprise.

I was confused didn't know what to do because my phone was off because of lack of constant light, I knew I needed to act fast.

I went to the cyber cafe where I had plugged my phone before the exam re-registered the right course and went back some minutes to the end of the exam. I had to cut across lines because my departments were already done with the exam.

I had to explain to the man in charge why I left the line.I was stuttering ,my words failed me.

But the man understood me and allowed me I was eventually screened and was qualified to write the exam which I prayed and answered with 15 minutes and was out of the hall grateful to God.

To position you for impact God brings you into environment where your purpose can find expression.

That classroom,That fellowship,That platforms.THEY ARE STRATEGIC.

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to 7 people with the best insights in the past month. The 7 winners are picked
by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.

Monthly Score
The Top Monthly Contributors ranking is a monthly metric indicating how users respond to your posts, not just how many you publish.
We look at three main things:
1
How strong your best post is —
Your highest-scoring post this month carries the most weight. One great post can take you far.
2
How consistent the engagement you receive is —
We also look at the average score of all your posts. If your work keeps getting good reactions, you get a boost.
3
How consistent the engagement you receive is —
Posting more helps — but only a little.
Extra posts give a small bonus that grows slowly, so quality always matters more than quantity.
In simple terms:
A great post beats many ignored posts
Consistently engaging posts beat one lucky hit
Spamming low-engagement posts won't help
Tips, comments, and upvotes from others matter most
This ranking is designed to reward
Thoughtful, high-quality posts
Real engagement from the community
Consistency over time — without punishing you for posting again
The Top Monthly Contributors leaderboard reflects what truly resonates, not just who posts the most.
