HIM;THE MAN: THE SEQUEL.

Him the Man: The Sequel

Dear digital diary,

It’s been three months since that traumatic incident.

Mum and Dad barely leave me alone anymore. Mils has become way more overprotective, and let’s just say Bo trusts a little less.

I don’t spend much time in my room like I used to.

My headphones? I don’t use them anymore.

Coping with the trauma has been hard, but I’m glad the perpetrator went to prison. Last I heard, he was murdered.

The memories from the courtroom replay in my mind constantly. His name—I can’t forget it.

Bill.

As I write this, I’m sitting in the living room with the TV in front of me. Mils and I are the only ones home.

She’s asleep.

Don’t worry—the doors are locked. We have security alarms now. No intruder can enter easily.

I can finally breathe.

I’m currently listening to music, out loud. I decided to fix myself something to eat.

Grapes.

I had only taken a few when I heard a knock on the door.

One of the grapes fell and rolled right to the front of the door.

“Mils, Mum and Dad are back,” I said.

She didn’t get up.

I decided to go myself. After all, nothing could happen.

“Who’s there?”

No answer.

I hesitated. “Mum? Is that you?”

Still no answer.

I looked through the peephole.

Chills ran down my spine.

It was him.

There he was, smiling at me.
