Our topic today is IN HIS PRESENCE. You all might be wondering what brought about this topic. This topic will bring out the revelation of what we are in Christ, an unveiling of what he can do through us.

It is lifting of the curtain and revealing the holy of holies and our ability to enter it and stand in the presence of the Father. Is someone understanding me this morning

*STUDENTS:* Yes

*FAITH:* Much of it will be a new and a challenge to earnest spirits to climb the heights and to sound the depths of these tremendous spiritual realities. Hallelujah

*STUDENTS:* Amen

*FAITH:* I will be picking prayer from the subsection under this topic. What is Prayer?

Prayer is our need crying out for help, it's the voice of Faith to the father. It's the living word in lips of Faith. Unbelief cannot pray, it can only utter words. This are the words of E.W Kenyon. Jesus said in Luke 18:1 that "Men ought to pray and not faint". There are two striking translations " Men ought to pray and not turn out badly", or " Men ought to pray and not cave in. You see, prayer means vital contact with the father. We are near enough to him to breathe in his presence. Hallelujah

*STUDENTS:* Amen

*FAITH:* Prayer is a spiritual exercise, your spirit is contacting the father, your spirits is reaching other human spirits through the Father. Paul said, "My spirit and Lord Jesus will be with you in your deliberations".

It doesn't seem credible. We become so utterly ruled and governed by the word and by the holy spirit that we become Masters of demons and of their work. Hallelujah

*STUDENTS:* Amen

*FAITH:* I think at this point we need to pray, stand up please

Oh lord grant us the spirit of excessive prayers, let us be fervent in prayer. Open your mouth and speak to your maker, I'm not hearing someone talking to God this morning.

*STUDENTS:* (Praying, others speaking in tongues)

*FAITH:* Yes, yes talk to him. A closed mouth is open for the devil's attack (speaks in tongues) oh lord we need a praying life, we want to be fervent in prayer. Talk to him, he can hear you. For in Jesus most powerful name we've prayed

*STUDENTS:* Amen

*FAITH:* Hallelujah, Thank you Jesus

*STUDENTS:* Thank you Lord

*FAITH:* (steps down from the podium and handed the microphone to peace)

*PEACE:* Praise the lord

*STUDENTS:* Hallelujah

*PEACE:* Give the lord a shout of praise

(Screams and shouts filled the air)

*PEACE:* My God, the atmosphere is something else, Glory to God. A round of applause for Jesus, he's worthy to be praised

*STUDENTS:* (Claps)

*PEACE:* You may all be seated. It's time to give our offerings to God. Choir give us a song (Cynthia collected the mic and raised a song while the offering basket was passed round by the ushers) Thank you Choir, Amen

*STUDENTS:* Amen

*PEACE:* May God bless our offerings and give to those that don't have in Jesus name.

*STUDENTS:* Amen

*PEACE:* All eyes closed, all heads bowed and please don't use this opportunity to sleep. Just use this few minutes to thank God for today's meeting. Speak to your maker, don't close your mouth. For in Jesus name we've prayed. And so father we thank you for today, we praise you forever in Jesus name. Even as we close and go back to the hostel, we ask that you guide us and protect us. I ask that in our academics you will grant us knowledge, understanding and retentive memory in the name of Jesus. Thank you lord Jesus for our prayers are answered for in Jesus most precious name we've prayed

*STUDENTS:* Amen

*ALL:* The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the sweet fellowship of the holy spirit, abide with us now and forever. Amen Surely God's goodness and mercies shall follow me all the days of my life and we shall dwell in the house of the lord forever and ever Amen.

*PEACE:* Thank you all for coming

(The NIFES meeting dismissed for the day and students dispatched to their hostels).

*SCENE TWO*

That same day,

Cynthia and Favour walking to their hostels...

*CYNTHIA:* Today was so intense, Favour I felt God's presence after a long time.

*FAVOUR:* You don't mean it, where have you kept the fire since? Don't tell me you stopped praying and reading your bible at home.

*CYNTHIA:* Hmm my friend it's well, I need more strength from God. But honestly I'm trying.

*FAVOUR:* The only way you need to be feeling his presence like this, you just have to open your heart to him. And you know you're a music minister, so you have to be spiritually equipped.

*CYNTHIA:* That's true my dear, I'll make sure I continue. You're here with me so your encouragement will help. It was because i was home, they were a lot of distraction.

*FAVOUR:* I understand, I'm here with you now. May God continue to bless Sister Faith and Peace.

*CYNTHIA:* Amen

*FAVOUR:* How about Adrian, I've not heard from him since we resumed.

*CYNTHIA:* My sister, I wish I could draw Adrian along with his friend to this NIFES meeting. He's getting worst each day

*FAVOUR:* You need to keep trying dear, you can't just give up on him like that. Leaving him will cause more trouble.

*CYNTHIA:* My dear, I have tried all I could but it's not working. Can you imagine he nearly slapped me the other day because of this same topic.

*FAVOUR:* Slap you? Why will he even do that?

*CYNTHIA:* Well, elder brother authority, I shouldn't tell him how to live his life.

*FAVOUR:* Wow, this has gotten to another stage, and I understand why you are tired. Don't worry dear, we will do something about this.

*CYNTHIA:* I hope so (Opened their room door and went in, and Favour followed behind and shut the door).

*FAVOUR:* (Sat at the extreme of the bed to take off her shoes) What if we ask Michael to help us talk to him.

*CYNTHIA:* Micheal you say, I don't think so. Who do you think is influencing Adrian?

*FAVOUR:* You can't be serious right now.

*CYNTHIA:* Dear, they have no difference. They need help.

*FAVOUR:* Don't worry girl, we will figure out a way.

*CYNTHIA:* I hope so, thanks for your concern dear. Let's go prepare something to eat.

*FAVOUR:* ofcourse

(They stood up and went to the kitchen)

*Light Fades*

What did you learn from the sermon by Sister Faith?

What's your idea about who Adrian and Michael are?

What idea do you think Favour will come up with?

Drop your comment, stay tuned for SCENE THREE
