<p>She stays trapped</p><p>Holding on to his words</p><p>"How am I supposed to live without you?!"</p><p>One slap pushes her head to the left</p><p>Purple bruises, forms and spreads;</p><p>His words was her anchor</p><p>His actions though, the iceberg that sank her.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>"Don't leave me! I'll die!" </p><p>She paused her departure by the door;</p><p>Knife to his neck, his knees to the ground</p><p>She remembers how she loved him;</p><p>She remembered who he once was</p><p>She shut the door, </p><p>She was his, yet again.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>His eyes widened in horror</p><p>"Don't go! You were supposed to stay!</p><p>To take in mine and your pain!"</p><p>He grabbed her, shouted, shook her;</p><p>She didn't budge, simply looked on, with unseeing eyes.</p><p>Red liquid, thick, vicious, real.</p><p>Pooled where she laid </p><p>He looked at his hands, bloodied by her</p><p>He was alone,</p><p>She was finally free of his love.</p>
