I Tried to Seduce My Writer's Block. It Ghosted Me
<p>There’s a special kind of humiliation in being left on read by your own imagination.</p><p></p><p> I should’ve seen the signs. The way Writer’s Block would linger just out of reach, teasing me with half-formed ideas before vanishing for weeks. I’d set the mood for the perfect writing date. A new pen, a new book....but Writer’s Block would smirk over my shoulder and whisper, "Not today"and then leave me staring blankly.</p><p></p><p>I tried everything. I dressed up for it, wore my good socks, the ones I always wear when I'm flowing creatively. I flirted with prompts and past writings only to get one pathetic sentence before the silence returned. Writer’s Block didn’t even have the decency to break up with me properly( sighs dejectedly).</p><p></p><p>"Hey, wanna brainstorm?"I’d type at 2 AM. It left me on delivered. AGAIN!</p><p></p><p>The worst part? Writer’s Block was seeing other people. I’d open social media to find people posting amazing things while my Notes app was just a graveyard of abandoned openings. </p><p></p><p>So I did what any scorned writer would do,I faked it. I The result? Horrible! The kind that makes you cringe reading it back. </p><p></p><p>Now, when Writer’s Block whispers "Not today,"I whisper back: "Fine. I’ll do it without you."And sometimes, that’s enough to make it jealous.</p><p></p>
I Tried to Seduce My Writer's Block. It Ghosted Me
At the end of each month, we give out cash prizes to 5 people with the best insights in the past month
as well as coupon points to 15 people who didn't make the top 5, but shared high-quality content.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
