<p>There are many kinds of currency in this <a class="tc-blue" href="https://world.some" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">world.some </a> jingle in <a class="tc-blue" href="https://pockets.some" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">pockets.some </a> rests in <a class="tc-blue" href="https://bank.And" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">bank.And </a> some- quiet, invisible,subtle-sit in soft places of the <a class="tc-blue" href="https://heart.when" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">heart.when </a> people hear the word bribe, they imagine money sliding across a table in a dimly lit <a class="tc-blue" href="https://room.But" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">room.But </a> for the first time I was ever bribed, there wasn't a single cash or note in <a class="tc-blue" href="https://sight.Instead" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">sight.Instead </a>,the payment came wrapped in kindness, attention, validation, and the kind of warmth money could never buy.</p><p>It began with words-small compliments, gentle praise, little acknowledgements that made me feel seen in ways I didn't even realize I wanted."you are really good at this"."no one understands things like you do"." I trust you".Each phrase felt like a golden token dropped in my palms.I didn't question the weight of them,or the motive behind the giver.I simply held them close, unaware that I was trading pieces of myself for the feeling they produced.</p><p>Then came the favours, the special <a class="tc-blue" href="https://treatment.Not" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">treatment.Not </a> grand gestures, just enough to tilt the scale-softened arguments, undeserved forgiveness, unexpected patience.I took them for generosity, not realising they were investment in my <a class="tc-blue" href="https://compliance.Before" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">compliance.Before </a> long,I found myself bending, reshaping my choices, adjusting my silence and my voice to preserve the flow of that non- monetary currency.I wasn't paid in cash, but I was paid all the same.</p><p>And that was the real bribe:not money but <a class="tc-blue" href="https://emotion.Not" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">emotion.Not </a> a reward, but a subtle manipulation of the things I valued most-connection,acceptance, affirmation.I learnt that he didn't always need my greed to control me; sometimes he only needed my <a class="tc-blue" href="https://longing.He" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">longing.He </a> just had to understand what I crave, what I fear, what I wish someone would finally give me.</p><p>It took time to understand what had <a class="tc-blue" href="https://happened.To" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">happened.To </a> realize that not every gift is kindness, not every compliment is sincerity, and not every kind of care is <a class="tc-blue" href="https://selfless.He" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">selfless.He </a> gave so that he could <a class="tc-blue" href="https://take.He" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">take.He </a> offered emotional currency knowing I would spend my freedom to keep receiving it.</p><p>But it also taught me something deeper;that my worth is not an object to be <a class="tc-blue" href="https://bought.That" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">bought.That </a> genuine care does not ask for my silence,my compromise,or my <a class="tc-blue" href="https://obedience.That" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">obedience.That </a> love, respect and friendship are not <a class="tc-blue" href="https://transactions.And" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">transactions.And </a> that the richest form of bribery comes from people who pretend they want the best for you, while quietly shaping you into what benefits them.</p><p>So yes,I was bribed-except it wasn't cash.</p><p>It was <a class="tc-blue" href="https://affection.It" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">affection.It </a> was <a class="tc-blue" href="https://attention.It" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">attention.It </a> was <a class="tc-blue" href="https://approval.It" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">approval.It </a> was everything I thought I needed, until I realized it was the price he used to buy a version of me that wasn't truly mine -at least not in the real sense.</p><p>And now,I know <a class="tc-blue" href="https://better.My" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">better.My </a> heart has learned the difference between love and <a class="tc-blue" href="https://leverage.My" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">leverage.My </a> mind has learned the difference between influence and <a class="tc-blue" href="https://manipulation.And" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">manipulation.And </a> I have learned to recognize the invisible currencies people use-so I never again confuse "bribe" for genuine care.</p>
At the end of each month, we give out cash prizes to 5 people with the best insights in the past month
as well as coupon points to 15 people who didn't make the top 5, but shared high-quality content.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
