IS ADULTHOOD REALLY A SCAM?
<p>This famous Nigerian saying "Adulthood Na Scam" should better be stopped. </p><p>I'm barely an adult and this very saying has clouded my judgment in taking on responsibilities. </p><p>But come to think of it, is it really a scam? </p><p>I am about to move to a new era where I don't need Mom and Dad, as they say. </p><p>Where I have to take responsibility for actions, they say. </p><p><br/></p><p>Where I have to wake up to bills, meet deadlines, and make decisions that shape my path.</p><p>Where mistakes aren’t just corrected with a pat on the back,</p><p>But with consequences that sometimes sting deeper than words can describe.</p><p>No one said freedom came with its own weight,</p><p>Or that dreams, too, have price tags hidden in small print.</p><p><br/></p><p>But maybe.... just maybe adulthood isn’t a scam after all.</p><p>Maybe it’s a test of strength, </p><p>A call to rise above comfort.</p><p>A call to come out of our shell</p><p>Maybe it’s an era where I have to define myself without words from "Grey-headed" individuals behind the curtains </p><p>So, no adulthood isn’t a scam,</p><p>It’s the reality check life gives you when you’re finally ready to live on your own terms.</p><p><br/></p><p>Well this is only based on my own perspective as I walk in this new era, it wouldn't hurt to hear yours. </p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>
