I was drawing my vision board today, I just feel like my year is just starting, LOL. It had me reflecting on 2023, and how I am living my dreams, how I didn’t meet some of my goals, and ultimately it was a guide for how I want my 2024 to turn out. I am thankful that I’m living some of my dreams like working in Paris and triumphing over some of my fears. This is why vision boards are important, they not only help in visualizing our dreams, but it is a good checklist when that time of the year to take stock finally comes.
Creating vision boards is fun and easy, clarify your visions, get the materials you will need (colorful pens, drawings, etc), get images you need to visualize your vision, get working, and stick it on somewhere you can see. Alternatively, you can make one online, and print it out. The first step is the hardest, it is imperative to have a clear vision, in my case it has taken me a long time to think and decide on what I need to focus on. It is what matters the most otherwise it would be pointless making one.
It is really interesting how our lives can get busy, a vision board will help prioritize what is important and reduce distractions from things that matter. It is also a good way to cultivate gratitude in your daily life, motivate you, and a nudge in the right direction whenever you are in an overwhelming situation.
Wondering what to put in your vision boards? Here are some ideas, how about your career aspirations, where do you want to be? the self-care ideas you’ve been having, be it skin care, hair care, etc, Love and Relationships, what you want to and where you want to be in your relationship? travel plans, get pictures of your next dream destinations, and stick them there, the list is endless, but you gotta do the work, think it through and get working, you got this!
Vision boards will remain just that if you don’t act and work towards it, start saving up for that trip, join that dance class, start that fitness routine, and finally refresh that vision board whenever you no longer feel like it is propelling you to the right direction.
Happy New Year! It is not too late haha. Nothing changes between 31st Dec and 1st Jan, but we need to partition what has already happened and say ‘That’s done, it’s over’, and have a little hope that the future will be better (Copied).
Now get working on that vision board, if I convinced you to make one, or if you already have, leave a comment about what you’re manifesting this 2024.
At the end of each month, we give out cash prizes to 5 people with the best insights in the past month
as well as coupon points to 15 people who didn't make the top 5, but shared high-quality content.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
