LEAH AND THE NINETY-ONE OTHERS: BRING BACK OUR GIRLS [BBOG]

At the year 2018 from a small unknown town back then, known as Dapchi in Yobe state Northeastern part of Nigeria. Our girls were attacked at their place of learning. Taken captive by a group of terrorists, famously recognized as Boko Haram. These girls were stripped of their religious beliefs, their childhood, their virginity and some their lives. Eventually, Some of them were released, few others escaped but a particular girl stands out. A girl and the Ninety-one others.

A girl who is slowly fading into history.

A girl we have failed as a country, as families and as friends.

A girl on the Ninety-one others who are constantly living in fear day-to-day.

I remember sitting in the living room with my parents while watching the news. The top headlines were always about our girls. Leah Shariub, who stood her ground not to accept Islam and the Ninety-one others who are still held captive for reasons unbeknown to us.

It's been more than five years now.

I keep wondering, the BBOG Foundation, are they still doing their work?

What happened to all the funds and donations made to them?

Do they still remember our girls?

Is all what they are going to do just be about protest?

Lea Shariub now has children for one of her captors! If not more.

Imagine the trauma she goes through and the abuse she endures everyday and she still stands her ground not to accept Islam.

This isn't me hating on the other religion.

This is me asking...when will our girls return HOME?

When will they BRING BACK OUR GIRLS?

The protests on the streets only seem to fall on deaf ears.

Our cries sounds like loud whispers.

We live in a country where speaking the truth, standing for your rights and that of others, being a Christian or a person from the other faith, berths you in prison.

Leah and the Ninety-one others are crying.

They are waiting.

Have we failed them?.... So I say, let's take it to the streets, our places of worship, our workplaces, and to every part of the world.

Our girls have been turned into baby machines, giving birth for these monsters.

These monsters are training up the younger ones, teaching them how to handle AK-47 and rifles.

We need to step up and speak out. Actions need to be carried out.

Nigeria, BRING BACK OUR GIRLS.

The presidency, BRING BACK OUR GIRLS. The armed forces, BRING BACK OUR GIRLS.

The politicians sitting on billions of dollars and sending their children to diaspora to study, BRING BACK OUR GIRLS.

We are tired of waiting...What did they ever do to Nigeria?

Has the land forgotten her own?

Let's give them HOPE.

Let's give them SAFETY.

Let's give them a reason to SMILE AGAIN. Let's bring them back HOME.

Let's BRING BACK OUR GIRLS.

At the end of each month, we give out cash prizes to 5 people with the best insights in the past month
as well as coupon points to 15 people who didn't make the top 5, but shared high-quality content.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
