Football is not the most popular sport for no reason.it ↗ is estimated that 4 in every 5 boy have played football at some point of their life in most part of the world.

I mean the very well-being of infants still incubated in their mother is monitored by their kicking, before modern tech. So it's no supprice that in learning how to have a balance in life literally, and stand tall,we engage our feets.

Now for most boys regardless of how you grew up, we are fund or kicking things to show displeasure or excitement as toddlers, then kicking little round objects and pillows for some reason we can't really explain, but we do..

When we Link up during play time with friends and fellow students, our fun thing to do was play football.

The beauty of football over other sport is that it's not simplicity , it's so easy to learn ,all you have to do is roll up your trousers and kick the only circular moving objects in the field of play into your opponent goal and everything else falls into place. No need for expensive kits to understand the fundamentals and you need is passion and commitment.

that that aside, football as an exercise keeps the body engaged and active in a positive way, it improve concentration level, agility, speed , balance and creativity that often go over the heads of most people in society who have no interest or who just watch for fun.

One major advantage of football for boys like me who grew up in the harsh part of Africa, was that, football was so much more than a sport. It was brotherhood, leisure, pleasure, therapy, a big distraction from drug use and abuse and other vices. cause every active player knows the two don't mix, And the passion so strong very thing else plays a second fiddle.

Also football serves as great way of expressing masculinity. The intensity of the game and physicality helps release high testosterone in a productive way, instead of violent acts.

Lastly the health benefits of exercising needs no explanation.

Unfortunately, this great resource is under-utilize.from ↗ families who actively discourage the pursuance of this skill as a career because they don't consider it as viable part to financial freedom or independence, to a nation who have discourage this venture at every turn through the lack of infrastructure and equipment to help passionate and gifted prospects to chase their dreams, to religious and social stigmatization of certain demographics and people in certain regions.

Today football is a multi billion dollar business. as some things understood in the past as trivia, such as celebration styles are being trade marked due to its popularity and influence.

most advanced nations and advancing nations who seek to be regardless as such, have exploited their human capital through this sport to create unity, increase gross domestic product , at the same time fighting unemployment and improving standards of living of millions of their citizens.

It is sad to see people around us who due to some of this constraints, have forfeited their dreams and fall back to drug use or alcohol to mourn a dream that distorted reality have killed at infancy. I personally have football to thank for helping me through depression at some point in my life as it help discourage others negative ventures that could have been counter productive, while at the same time improving discipline, fueling ambition and commitment for us teenagers and adolescents in those complex moments of our lives.

There are people I know who would be alive or better humans today if they had kept on playing. They stop not because they wanted to, but because they were forced to by situations and circumstances outside their control.all ↗ they wanted was any form of encouraging and support in a dream only they could truly see.

The Nigerian government and other African state must do more to encourage and help it's populace explore their full potential in productive areas as such, and must actively participate in their journey for a better end-result for all, both nation and individuals.

The journey of VO9 and assisat ashoal and a lot of unmentioned others are testament to the struggle most young people face in chasing their dreams and a glimpse of what could actually be for an African youth.

Congratulations U21IS Galacticos.
