MY BURNING MANSION
<p>I stand back and let my mansion burn</p><p>Call it “self-care,” call it a well-earned break,</p><p>I watch the paint peel nice and slow,</p><p>Laugh at the smoke like it’s a joke I made.</p><p><br/></p><p>I leave the doors wide open on purpose,</p><p>Rain on the floors, dust on the throne,</p><p>Who needs rules when chaos feels honest?</p><p>It’s my house so I’ll ruin it alone.</p><p><br/></p><p>I spoil myself with broken clocks,</p><p>I bleed broken tears from my broken eyes</p><p>I speak these words from my broken heart</p><p>I walk alone on this broken path</p><p>I try to reconnect with the world but each time I try I grow apart from myself. </p><p><br/></p><p>I think my new habit is endangering my health </p><p>Sleep past leaks, ignore the sound,</p><p>Toast to cracks in marble walls,</p><p>Because fixing things feels too profound.</p><p><br/></p><p>Funny thing is, beneath the mess,</p><p>The mansion still knows how to stand,</p><p>Turns out letting go isn’t losing control</p><p>It’s just dropping the wrench from my hand.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>
