Sometimes I ask myself: could it be that our biggest problem in life is not that God is silent, but that we leave everything for Him to do?

Think about David. Yes, David trusted God with his whole heart, but when he faced Goliath, did he just go there empty-handed? No! He picked up a catapult and five smooth stones (1 Samuel 17:40). If David believed only prayer was enough, then what was the essence of that stone? Faith without works is dead (James 2:17).

Prayer is powerful, but without corresponding action, it becomes like a beautiful car without an engine. You don’t just pray to pass an exam; you must also study. Prayer is what oils the wheel of your effort, not what replaces it. The Bible says, “Study to show yourself approved” (2 Timothy 2:15).

You don’t just pray for a godly marriage and expect miracles if your character is full of anger, pride, and bad habits. Even Esther prayed, but beyond prayer, she worked on her composure, her words, and her approach. That’s how she found favor with the king (Esther 5:2).

Jesus Himself said, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s” (Mark 12:17). Meaning; play your own part! If you drive recklessly, don’t expect the “Journey Mercies” prayer to cover your stubbornness. If you refuse to look left and right before crossing the road, don’t drag God into the accident.

Let me tell you a small story:

A man was stranded in a flood, praying fervently for God to save him. A boat came; he refused, saying “God will save me.” A helicopter came; he refused again. Eventually, he drowned. When he got to heaven, he complained, “Lord, why didn’t You save me?” And God said, “I sent you a boat and a helicopter; what else were you waiting for?”

Brethren, hear me: God will never do for you what He has given you the wisdom, hands, and legs to do for yourself. That’s why Proverbs 12:11 says, “He who works his land will have abundant food, but he who chases fantasies lacks judgment.”

So stop folding your hands and quoting “If God won’t feed me, He won’t let me see another day.” There are many alive today but hungry. Life does not respond to idleness; it responds to action combined with prayer.

The truth is, there are billions of people on this earth, but the only partnership that truly matters is **you and your Creator**. Don’t be hopeless. Don’t just pray; step up, act, and involve yourself!

And as I close this sermon… let offering time – blessing time meet me as Tips and also in the comment section. 🙏😂

At the end of each month, we give out cash prizes to 5 people with the best insights in the past month
as well as coupon points to 15 people who didn't make the top 5, but shared high-quality content.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
