Hold up, Hold up. Before you curse me, let me ask you," Is there anything you truly wanted and had to wait years or months before you got it?"

That perfect job, relationship, healing, or money you waited for, innit?

So yes, you've been in a season of waiting before, and you're probably still in one.

Sometime last year, I went to a church meeting, and I cried out to God about a particular thing. I got back home, thinking there was a miracle, only to be confronted with a much bigger issue. That incident affected my faith a lot; I did not pray for a long time, did not care about my faith, and, yes, I did not want to please God at all. There were days when my spirit woke me up at midnight to pray; instead, I would watch a movie. Hmmm, let's just thank God for mercy.

Let me be honest with you. There were days last year when I looked up at heaven like, "Hello? God? Are you seeing what is happening here? Because I am tired." I would pray, fast, cry, shout, whisper, I repeat cryyyyy! …Yet the miracle I was asking for seemed to be coming at a snail's pace. Even a snail would move faster sef.

But over time, I started to understand something about God's timing. In 2022, I applied to Ebony Life Creative Academy and didn't get in, but in 2023, I did. Why? I figured out I needed to meet a couple of people for that season. Our paths needed to cross. But I remember calling my best friend, Tobi, in 2022, crying hard because I did not get into the academy; I felt God hated me, but guess what? God was cookin' in 2023.

I learnt that God does not delay to punish us. He delays by preparing us; I read something profound that said," God doesn't send someone ill-prepared."

There are layers in our lives that God has to peel gently, experiences He has to rewrite, mindsets He has to adjust, wounds He has to disinfect before that miracle comes.

This knowledge changed my perspective on waiting when I thought about having a partner or even starting my own company. I believe God is working in me, or the people attached to my miracle. So now, whenever I'm tempted to complain or cry, I remind myself, God is not slow; He is thorough. And thorough healing and preparation are worth the wait.

Imagine the bible characters Abraham and Sarah; they waited for yearsssss for Isaac! Jacob waited for years before God's prophecy came to pass (Baba was even in prison), and sweet Hannah criedddd for a child, and God later gave her a son who anointed the greatest kings! Let's not forget the coconut-headed Israelites whose waiting season was due to disobedience. Oh chim. These people waited, but guess what? God always delivered in full!

Let's do something; Think about that miracle you desperately want, but not in the way that God hasn't answered you. Think of it and believe God is still working for your good.

Also, everyone is in their waiting season, not just you. Please be kind and understanding.
